Skylight Installation

The Weather-Tite Roofing team understands that adding or replacing a skylight requires high-quality materials, weather-proof construction, and meticulous installation. Our team has extensive experience adding and replacing skylights on various roof surfaces.
We offer both non-opening dome skylights and flat window skylights, which open from the inside with a chain.
When replacing a skylight we will first remove the existing skylight. The new skylight is then mechanically fastened. The roof curb is then flashed with roof membrane and tied into the existing roof membrane for a watertight installation. If the skylight is being moved, we occasionally will cover the existing opening with plywood and install roof membrane over the plywood.
You may need to replace your skylight if you notice water leaking from the skylight, the presence of rust or mold, excess moisture near the skylight, or broken skylight glass.

Roof Ventilation
We also offer Roof Ventilation services. If you are having issues with excess moisture in bathrooms or in your attic, a roof vent may be needed to release excess moisture.
Proper attic and roof ventilation helps reduce cooling costs,helps to extend the life of your shingles, and reduces the buildup of ice dams in winter.
Our team will cut through the entire roof membrane and roof deck in order to install the new roof vent. The roof vent will be mechanically attached and the roof vent will be flashed with roof membrane and tied into the existing roof membrane for a watertight installation. If necessary, a roof curb will be used during construction.
